BISFed 2019 Hong Kong Boccia World Open Set to Begin

BISFed 2019 Hong Kong Boccia World Open, organized by the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled (HKPC&SAPD) and sanctioned by the Boccia International Sports Federation (BISFed), will be held from 15 to 19 May at Ma On Shan Sports Centre. More than 200 top athletes, coaches and team officials from 18 countries and territories will take part in the tournament. The participating athletes can gain world ranking points towards qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Strong teams such as China, Colombia, Great Britain, Greece and Thailand will soon gather in Hong Kong, including David Smith (Great Britain), Worawut Saengampa (Thailand), Grigorios Polychronidis (Greece), Euclides Grisales (Colombia), players of BC1/BC2 Team from Thailand and BC3 Pairs from Greece, who are world no.1 in the individual, team and pairs categories, and two-time Paralympic BC4 Individual gold medalist Leung Yuk Wing (Hong Kong). All the top athletes are expected to deliver impressive performances at the competition arena.
